Originally about a long, long walk, the Camino de Santiago which I did in May 2009, walking nearly 800km. After a blogging break I am now back nattering about this and that.
They look gorgeous. Do you just bite into one or slice/peel/cook it? I have seen them in the supermarket occasionally. Sounds like you really recommend them.

I don´t know how well they travel, here we get them pretty fresh and ripe. There should be just a little 'give' when squeezed gently. I just pull off the stem, give it a good wash and bite into it skin and all.
